Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

The Short Version

  • Strive has no ads and never sells your data.
  • If you don't sign in, your planner stays on your device.
  • If you sign in, your planner syncs through our servers so it's on all your devices.
  • We use a few trusted services to run Strive, like analytics and payments. They're listed below.
  • You can turn analytics off in Settings and delete your account at any time.

Who We Are

Strive Planner is made by Weiss Solutions LLC, a company in the United States. This policy covers the iOS, macOS, and Android apps, this website, the strive command-line tool, and the Strive MCP server that AI assistants connect to. If you have a question, email [email protected].

What We Collect and Why

  • Your planner: If you sign in, what you add to Strive, such as events, tasks, goals, notes, people, photos, files, and settings, syncs through our servers so it's on all your devices and on this website. If you don't sign in, it stays on your device.
  • Your account: Your email address, username, display name, profile picture, sign-in details, and subscription status, so you can sign in and use Strive.
  • Sharing: When you add a friend or share something, we store the username or email address you enter. If you publish a note as a public link, anyone with the link can see it.
  • Feedback and support: When you contact us, we receive your message, your email address, and basic details like your app version and device model, so we can help. These go to our support inbox.
  • Newsletter: If you subscribe, we store your email address to send it. You can unsubscribe from any email.
  • Usage analytics: We see which features people use and when something breaks, so we can fix bugs and improve Strive. We don't collect your planner content, name, or email address for this.
  • Ad measurement: If you install the iOS app from one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram, Meta's SDK tells Meta about the install and app opens, so we know which ads work. It doesn't use your advertising ID, and nothing you put in Strive goes to Meta.
  • AI assistants and the command-line tool: When you connect an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT, or sign in with the command-line tool, it can read your planner, and change it if you gave it read and write access. We receive only the requests it makes, such as dates to look up or a task to add, plus your time zone. We never receive your conversations with an assistant. What Strive sends back goes to the assistant's provider, whose privacy policy covers it.
  • Connections: For each assistant, computer, or token you connect, we store its name, device details, access level, when it was last used, and the IP address and approximate location it last connected from. We also log sign-ins, approvals, and revocations. We use this to list your connections in Settings, then Agents, to tell you where a new sign-in came from, and to stop stolen tokens.
  • Server logs: Our servers see your IP address to answer requests and block abuse. We don't store it with your account, except for the connections above.

Device Permissions

Strive asks for a permission only when you use a feature that needs it. You can turn any of them off in your device settings.

  • Contacts: To import the people you choose.
  • Calendars, reminders, and tasks: To show and edit your events and tasks in Strive.
  • Location: To center the map on you. Your live location never leaves your device.
  • Photos, camera, and files: To add the photos and files you pick. Strive sees only what you pick.
  • Screen Time: On iOS, to block the apps you choose during Protected Time. Apple doesn't tell Strive which apps they are.
  • Canvas: If you connect it, Strive imports your assignments. Your Canvas login stays on your device.

If you're signed in, anything you import syncs like the rest of your planner.

Services We Use

Each service gets only what it needs to do its job, and we choose providers that protect your data at least as well as we do.

What We Don't Do

  • We don't show ads in Strive.
  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't collect your device's advertising identifier.
  • We never see your card number.
  • We don't send push notifications. Reminders are scheduled on your device.

Your Choices

  • Analytics: Turn off Usage Analytics or Ad Measurement at any time in Settings, then General, under Privacy. In the EU, UK, and Switzerland, Ad Measurement stays off unless you turn it on.
  • Sync: Sign out to stop syncing.
  • AI assistants and the command-line tool: Revoke any assistant, computer, or personal token in Settings, then Agents. It stops working right away.
  • Permissions: Turn off contacts, calendar, reminders, location, or photo access in your device settings.
  • Delete your account: In the app, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete Account, or follow the steps at https://striveplanner.app/delete-account. You're signed out right away. After 30 days, we permanently delete your account, your synced planner, and your photos and files. Sign in within those 30 days to restore your account.
  • Subscriptions: Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the App Store, Google Play, or Strive's website settings.

Everything you save in Strive is yours.

How Long We Keep Data

  • Account and planner: Until you delete your account, then 30 days more.
  • Connections and sign-in log: Until you delete your account, then 30 days more. Revoking a connection stops it, but we keep its record for security.
  • Newsletter: Until you unsubscribe. We keep your address marked as unsubscribed so we don't email you again.
  • Support messages: As long as we need them to help you.
  • Analytics and server logs: Only as long as they help us improve Strive and keep it secure.

Security

Everything sent between the apps, this website, and our servers is encrypted in transit.

Do Not Track

Browsers have no common standard for Do Not Track signals, so this website doesn't respond to them. You can turn analytics off in Settings instead.

For Users in the EU, UK, and Switzerland

Weiss Solutions LLC is responsible for your data. Contact us at [email protected].

  • Why we can use your data: We sync your planner, run your account, connect the assistants and computers you approve, handle support, and process subscriptions to provide the service you asked for. We run usage analytics, server logs, and the sign-in log because we have a legitimate interest in keeping Strive working and secure. We use ad measurement and the newsletter only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings or with the unsubscribe link.
  • Where your data goes: Our servers and several of our providers are in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Your rights: You can ask to see, correct, delete, or export your data, or object to or limit how we use it. You can do most of this in the app, or email [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
  • Your choice: You don't need an account to use the apps. You need one only to sync. We don't make automated decisions about you.

Changes to This Policy

When we update this policy, we post it in the app and on this website with a new date. Using Strive after that means you accept the updated policy.
